North Road Headband Knitting Pattern
North Road Headband Knitting Pattern

I’ve been knitting my Gales of November hats, headbands, and cowls for some time now, and as I knit, I often dream about other spiral knit patterns that are easy and mindless to make. I really wanted to try an arrangement with less twisted stitch spirals that also featured a purl bump on each side of the spiral, creating an element that almost looks like a botanical vine with roots twisting upwards - and that’s how this pattern was born.
I’ve named this headband after the road I live on, and my knitting business, North Road Knits.
This headband coordinates with my North Road Hat and Cowl patterns. I’ve written the pattern to be made in two sizes, child to adult s/m and adult l/xl with Super Bulky Yarn. Show in Malabrigo Rasta.
The headband is knit in the round from the bottom up.
Uses US 15.0 - 10.0mm needles.
