Birch Leaves Cowl Knitting Pattern

This cowl pattern coordinates with my Birch Leaves Beanie cable knit hat pattern. I’ve included instructions for both Super Bulky and Light Super Bulky/Heavy Bulky yarn.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOTH WEIGHTS ARE INCLUDED IN THE SINGLE PATTERN PURCHASE.

Sample are shown here in Malabrigo Rasta and Malabrigo Noventa.

The patterns are written for one size, but instructions for adapting both width and height can be found in the notes section. The pattern is written to use one single skein of the yarns pictured, and any adaptations to make the cowl taller/wider will require additional yarn.

The cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up and utilizes cable knitting techniques.

Uses US 11 - 8.0mm, 13 - 9.0mm and US 15 - 10.0mm needles.
