I have several bandana cowl patterns in my pattern sketch books and am excited to get this one out into the world.
I named it the Basalt Bandana Cowl after my favorite smooth rock I find on the shores of Lake Superior.
I absolutely love how this cowl fits- it’s tall enough to really keep your neck warm and can be folded down if you overheat a bit. It fits perfectly in your coat, without all the heft of a large scarf or cowl, too.
The Basalt Bandana Cowl pattern comes with instructions to make a quick and simple neck warmer with less than one skein of super bulky yarn like Malabrigo Rasta.
The pattern is written for one size, average adult.
The cowl is knit flat and in the round from the bottom up.
Uses US 15 - 10mm, 16" or 24" Circular Needles
